Lot 769: A Late Victorian Carved Oak Spinning Chair
A late Victorian carved oak spinning chair featuring an octagonal seat and a tall, tapered backrest. The backrest is decorated with relief-carved foliate designs and a central heart-shaped cutout. The seat is extensively relief-carved with a central pinwheel or whorl motif within a circular border, surrounded by C-scrolls and stylised floral patterns. The chair is supported by four splayed, ring-turned legs. Constructed from solid oak with a dark, aged patina.
