Lot 772: Two assorted antique-style chairs, including a Queen Anne style side chair and a Victorian carved bedroom chair
This lot comprises two assorted chairs of differing styles and periods. The first is a side chair in the Queen Anne revival style, likely dating from the early 20th century. It is constructed from stained hardwood and features a tall back with a shaped top rail and a central splat containing an oval panel above three vertical slats. The chair includes a drop-in seat upholstered in a sage green fabric and is supported by cabriole front legs and out-swept rear legs. The second item is a late Victorian bedroom or nursing chair, circa 1880-1900, crafted from carved mahogany. It features a low seat and an ornate, pierced back splat with scrollwork and a central foliate carved motif. The fixed seat is upholstered in a rose pink velvet with a decorative fringed border, raised on short cabriole front legs. A paper inventory tag numbered 772 is affixed to the rear of the Victorian chair.
