Lot 823: A Late Victorian Mahogany Bedside Pot Cupboard
A late Victorian mahogany bedside cabinet or pot cupboard of one-piece construction. The single door features a recessed rectangular panel and is fitted with a small brass drop pull handle on a circular backplate. The cabinet is designed with a shaped gallery to the top and a corresponding shaped apron at the base forming bracket-style feet. The wood exhibits a warm reddish-brown mahogany finish. No maker marks are visible on the exterior of the piece. A white paper auction lot label with the handwritten number 823 is adhered to the side.
