Lot 875: A Victorian Pine Two-Drawer Farmhouse Table
An English Victorian pine farmhouse table, dating to the late 19th century. The table features a rectangular top constructed from two wide pine planks with rounded edges. The deep frieze houses two drawers, with the drawer fronts retaining an old dark-stained finish and fitted with faceted glass knobs. The interior of one drawer is fitted with fixed wooden dividers, suggesting use as a cutlery or organisational work table. The whole is raised on four substantial, bulbous turned legs. The drawer joinery exhibits hand-cut dovetails. No maker’s marks are visible.
