Lot 920: A Trio of Lloyd Loom Style Woven Storage Items
A trio of mid-20th century storage items, constructed in the style of Lloyd Loom from woven fibre over a frame. The collection includes a rectangular blanket chest or storage ottoman and two laundry hampers. The blanket chest features a cream-painted woven body with a hinged, padded lid upholstered in salmon-pink fabric. The interior is painted white, and the piece is raised on four small metal casters. The two laundry hampers are finished in matching pale blue-grey paint. The first hamper is rectangular with a flat, solid-top hinged lid and a contrasting dark green painted interior. The second is a wedge-shaped corner hamper designed to fit into a 90-degree corner, featuring a hinged lid and three integral bracket feet. No maker’s marks or labels were observed on any of the items.
