Lot 942: A 20th century circular bar-type stool with red velvet upholstery
A traditional low-profile stool of a type commonly used in pubs or as a hearth-side seat. The stool features a circular, padded seat upholstered in a vibrant red velvet-type fabric, finished with a piped edge. The seat is mounted on a dark-stained hardwood frame consisting of four turned legs joined by a four-sided stretcher base for structural stability. A white printed sticker is affixed to the seat which reads: Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 942. A white string-tied tag is attached to one leg with the handwritten text: BAR TYPE STOOL and 1487. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible.
