Lot 775: Eight Commemorative and Thematic Clear Glass Medallions and Paperweights
A collection of eight clear glass medallions and paperweights featuring various commemorative and thematic designs. The items are crafted from solid clear glass with intaglio moulded designs on the underside, often with a frosted finish to provide contrast against the clear body of the glass. The collection includes a 1977 Silver Jubilee medallion featuring a crowned Royal Cypher ER and the date 1977, a 1969 Investiture medallion depicting the Prince of Wales feathers and inscribed Caernarfon 1969, and a 1953 Coronation medallion depicting the Gold State Coach with the date June 2nd 1953. Also present is a zodiac medallion for Leo with the dates 23 Jul to 23 Aug, a medallion featuring a dodo bird inscribed Mauritius, a solid clear glass heart-shaped paperweight, a medallion depicting a standing heraldic figure in the style of Saint George, and a further medallion featuring a circular crest or wreath design.
