This lot comprises a pair of white ceramic cups and matching saucers, featuring a minimalist modern design from the Paus range. The items are finished in a uniform plain white glaze. The cups are of a wide, low form with a distinctive broad, flat handle that integrates into the rim. A notable design feature is the deep conical indentation in the base of the cups, which corresponds to a raised central boss on the saucers, providing stability during use. The base of the cups bears the following printed marks: a black circular logo containing the stylised letters sagaform, and the text: © 2004 Paus design by Helene Tiedemann Sweden made in Thailand. Based on these marks, the items are identified as the Paus pattern, designed by Helene Tiedemann for the Swedish brand Sagaform in 2004.
