Lot 827: A late 20th-century mahogany-finish reproduction entertainment unit
A traditional style reproduction media or entertainment unit of one-piece construction, presented with a dark mahogany-toned finish. The unit features a rectangular top with a carved gadrooned or pie-crust edge. The front configuration consists of a central recessed section with a single door containing an arched clear glass pane. This central section is fitted with a single adjustable wooden shelf. Flanking the centre are two solid cupboard doors, each decorated with arched recessed panelling. The unit is fitted with decorative brass-tone cast metal hardware, featuring ornate foliate drop handles on the side doors and a matching vertical latch on the central glazed door. The entire piece sits on a molded plinth base with a shaped apron to the front. A hand-written tag is attached to the left-hand handle which reads 2010 Entertainment unit Res. 0.
