Lot 833: A Howard-Style Upholstered Armchair and Matching Ottoman
A traditional Howard-style armchair and matching rectangular ottoman, likely dating to the late 20th century. The armchair is designed with padded scroll arms, a high-profile fixed back, and a loose seat cushion, and it is accompanied by a pair of matching armcaps. Both items are fully upholstered in a green woven fabric featuring a small-scale repeating geometric diamond pattern. The pieces are supported by turned wooden legs with a dark mahogany-style finish, each terminating in brass-mounted casters. A decorative row of brass nailhead trim is applied along the base of both the chair and the ottoman. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the pieces.
