Lot 912: A Set of French Provincial Style Extending Dining Table and Chairs
A dining suite in the French Provincial style, comprising an extending pedestal dining table and matching chairs. The table features an oak veneered top with a chevron parquetry pattern, set within a shaped and moulded border, and is supported by a turned pedestal base. The suite includes matching dining chairs, including carvers, each featuring an arched cresting rail with a central floral and foliate carved motif. The chair backs are inset with woven cane panels and the seats are upholstered in a terracotta-toned velvet-style fabric. The chairs are raised on turned front legs and slightly splayed back legs. The lot includes extension leaves. A white label on the corner of the table is marked Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 912.
