Lot 743: A Sculptural Handcrafted High-Back Rustic Armchair
An artisan-crafted high-back armchair in the rustic studio furniture style, constructed from mixed hardwoods with a hand-hewn, naturalistic finish. The design features a tall, narrow central back splat containing three square-cut apertures, flanked by two organically curved uprights resembling natural rootwood or shaped branches. The seat is composed of tapering horizontal slats. The wide, shaped arms exhibit prominent exposed mortise and tenon joinery with dark wood wedging. The chair is supported by four thick, rounded legs connected by a simple H-stretcher. A white auction lot tag numbered 743 is attached to the top of the backrest.
