Lot 35: A Collection of Vintage and Modern Hand Saws and Frames including Eclipse and Shetack Examples
A collection of hand saws and saw frames comprising both vintage and modern examples. The lot includes a Fiskars curved pruning saw with a black polymer handle, retained within its original plastic sleeve. Also featured is a Shetack multi-purpose saw, characterised by a deep triangular blade and a reinforced steel spine stamped A.V.W. and PAT No 25848; the black composite handle is marked SHETACK. The collection contains an Eclipse No. 85 vintage hacksaw frame with a grey-painted cast metal handle, embossed with manufacturer details and Made in Sheffield England. Further items include two traditional hacksaw frames with turned wooden handles, one fitted with a blue Eclipse blade, and a smaller fret or piercing saw frame with a turned wooden handle and fine wire blade. Construction materials across the lot include steel, cast iron, turned wood, and modern polymers.
