Lot 55: An Assortment of Metal Jugs and Woven Baskets in the Farmhouse Style
A collection of decorative household items comprising three metal jugs and two woven baskets. The jugs include one metal pitcher featuring an embossed scroll and foliate pattern with a dark distressed grey finish and a high arched handle. The second jug is constructed of galvanized metal with horizontal ribbing and a tapered body. The third is a slender metal pitcher painted white with a mint green interior rim and base. The two baskets are of oval form, constructed from woven wicker with natural-coloured rims and greenish-blue painted bodies. Each basket is fitted with a tall, twisted metal wire handle decorated with scrolled metalwork at the points of attachment. No maker marks are visible. The items are contemporary decorative pieces in a rustic aesthetic.
