Lot 330: An Assortment of Domestic Ceramics Glassware and Metalware including Arabia Finland and Ulster Pottery
A collection of domestic items comprising ceramics, glassware, and decorative metalware. Notable ceramic pieces include a lidded casserole dish in the Taika pattern by Arabia Finland, featuring horizontal bands of brown and black. The base of this piece bears the printed Arabia Finland Taika backstamp with a stylized crown logo and dishwasher-proof symbol. Also included is a ceramic bowl hand-painted in Ulster, Northern Ireland, decorated with blue petal-like motifs around the exterior; the underside features a green circular mark with a central vegetable motif and the words Handpainted in Ulster. The ceramic assortment further contains a blue and white mug with folk-art style rabbit and floral designs, and various plates including designs with grapes and strawberries. The glassware includes a large clear glass decanter, several wine glasses, and an array of cut-glass tumblers and small bottles. Decorative metalware is represented by two large cast metal trivets or plaques in the forms of an owl and a butterfly. Other small items such as a blue ceramic dish and clear glassware are also present. The lot is presented in a clear plastic storage container with a blue handle and a separate cardboard box.
Condition report:
The items are in used, as-found condition. Surface grime and shelf-wear are visible on the ceramic bases. The items are loosely packed within the containers without individual protective wrapping, which may lead to minor surface scuffing. No significant chips or cracks are visible in the general overview images.
