Lot 422: A Collection of Decorative Ceramic and Glassware
An assortment of decorative ceramic and glass objects. The ceramic items include a blue-glazed teapot with white floral transfer-printed motifs, a two-tone glazed ceramic jug in cobalt blue and cream, and a Japanese-style earthenware vase decorated with hand-painted scenes and gilding. Also present is a deep blue-glazed ceramic bowl with a beaded rim and a scalloped porcelain dish featuring green clover or shamrock patterns. The glassware comprises a pair of clear glass goblets with wide gilded rims and a clear moulded glass pedestal dish. Auction house labels for Liskeard Auction Rooms and HCP Auctions South West are present on several pieces.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of use and surface wear consistent with age. There is visible rubbing to the gilded accents on the glassware and the earthenware vase. The blue-glazed bowl displays some interior surface debris. General minor surface scratching and shelf wear throughout. No major structural damage or repairs are evident.
