Lot 436: A Collection of Vintage Cameras and Photographic Equipment
A large mixed collection of 20th-century photographic and cinematic apparatus. The collection includes a Pentacon black-bodied 35mm SLR camera fitted with a Pentacon Practicar MC 1:1.8 f=50mm lens and a Panasonic Zoom point-and-shoot camera featuring a 38-80mm 1:3.8-7.6 lens. Instant photography is represented by a black Polaroid Supercolor 600 camera and a Polaroid Colour Swinger Land Camera, the latter housed in its original cardboard packaging. Cinematic equipment comprises a Dart Reflex handheld movie camera and a Panasonic camcorder with a branded shoulder strap. Also present is an early 20th-century style brown leatherette-covered box camera and a View-Master 3-D Dimension Viewer in its original red and white box. The lot is completed by multiple electronic flash units, various vintage brown leather and leatherette ever-ready camera cases, lens caps, and a box for a Sony CP-400 photo printer.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition, displaying varying degrees of surface dust, scuffing, and wear consistent with age and long-term storage. The original cardboard packaging for the Polaroid Colour Swinger and View-Master shows significant structural wear, including tearing and fading. All mechanical and electronic components are untested and the lot is sold as seen.
