Lot 467: An Assortment of Decorative Glass and Crystal Items Including a Galileo Thermometer and an Edinburgh Crystal Desk Clock
An assortment of decorative glass and lead crystal giftware. The collection features a Galileo thermometer, consisting of a sealed clear glass cylinder on a circular footed base containing multiple floating internal glass spheres in blue and clear glass with suspended metal temperature tags. Included is a small desk clock by Edinburgh Crystal, featuring a white dial with Roman numerals and quartz movement, housed in a cut lead crystal arched frame with a diamond pattern. Also present are two faceted clear crystal figurines, one depicting a standing dog, resembling a Scottish Terrier, and another a butterfly with outspread wings. The group is completed by an octagonal faceted glass ornament with a red circular inset displaying a gold-toned figure of Sagittarius. The clock face is inscribed Edinburgh Crystal and Quartz.
