Lot 516: Two items comprising a smoking pipe and a leather-covered case
The lot consists of two items: a smoking pipe and a leather-covered case. The pipe is of a bent billiard form featuring a smooth bowl finished in a reddish-brown stain and a curved black stem. The accompanying case is a telescopic brown leather carrier with a ridged, multi-compartment exterior. A small white adhesive label is attached to the exterior of the case. No specific maker marks or manufacturer stamps are identifiable from the available images.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit surface wear and evidence of age. The pipe shows significant charring and carbon deposits at the bowl rim from previous use. The leather case displays scuffing and general surface wear consistent with age and handling.
