Lot 530: A Collection of Decorative Glass and Ceramic Items
This collection comprises several decorative items including an opaque cased glass vase, a pair of ceramic jugs, and an enamelled glass bud vase. The blue glass vase is of amphora form with an opaque light blue body, a flared rim, and two hand-applied clear glass scroll handles. The pair of white glazed ceramic jugs are of a flattened, asymmetrical teardrop or pillow shape with integrated handles and curved lips. They feature green monochromatic transfer-printed decoration depicting a couple in Regency-style costume. The clear glass bud vase has a globular body and a tall neck with a ground rim, decorated with raised white enamel in a botanical floral spray pattern, possibly representing Lily of the Valley. No maker’s marks are visible on any of the pieces. One item features a paper auction label from Liskeard Auction Rooms for lot 530.
