Lot 598: An Assortment of Vintage and Contemporary Costume Jewellery
A collection of mixed vintage and contemporary costume jewellery comprising necklaces, bangles, and brooches. The lot includes various materials such as resin, plastic, glass, wood, textile, and base metals. Notable pieces include a large polished wooden bead necklace, a coiled silver-tone metal necklace, and a chunky necklace featuring black and white disc-shaped beads possibly composed of horn or bone. Beaded necklaces are present in various styles, including multi-strand white beads with rectangular spacers, and single strands of purple, blue, and translucent amber-toned beads. The assortment of bangles features diverse designs, such as a tiger-stripe patterned resin bangle, a pink bangle with star motifs, a yellow cord-wrapped example, and a plaid textile-covered bangle. A grey-washed wicker basket contains additional items including a gold-tone floral brooch and a red bow-shaped accessory. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the items. A white adhesive label with the number 585 is affixed to the basket.
