Lot 626: A Collection of Decorative Art Glass and Glassware
A collection of five pieces of decorative art glass comprising stemware, a vessel, and paperweights. Included in the lot are a pair of large decorative glasses, each featuring a clear blown-glass bowl of tapered tulip form, set upon a long slender stem and a contrasting circular black glass foot. These items are similar in form to decorative weather predictors or tempest flasks. Also included is a contemporary square-section cased glass vase with an opaque white interior and a clear glass base. The collection is completed by two paperweights: one egg-shaped example with mottled green and white internal decoration, and a spherical clear glass paperweight featuring a blue base and internal controlled bubble (bullicante) decoration. The square vase bears a paper auction label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 626.
