Lot 628: A Collection of Decorative Porcelain Teacups and Saucers
A collection of porcelain teacups and matching saucers featuring various decorative motifs and styles. The assortment includes a set with a deep cobalt blue exterior, a fully gilded interior, and a scrolling gilt handle, accompanied by a matching blue saucer with a scalloped edge. Another set features a wide emerald green band to the exterior decorated with intricate gilt foliate and floral scrolls. One set is a lobed cabinet cup and saucer with alternating vertical panels of solid gilding and polychrome floral bouquets. Also included is a demitasse cup and saucer decorated with a fruiting vine motif in purple and green with gilt highlights to the rims. A further set is decorated with delicate sprays of summer flowers including roses and pansies on a white ground with fine gilt rims. No manufacturer marks are visible on the undersides of the pieces. A lot tag for Liskeard Auction Rooms is present.
