Lot 633: Two items comprising a tea-for-one ceramic set and a tiered wooden tray with inset ceramic tile
This lot consists of two items: a ceramic tea-for-one set and a decorative tiered wooden tray. The tea-for-one set is of a stacking design, comprising a small teapot, a teacup, and a matching saucer. It is constructed from white ceramic and features a grey transfer-printed foliate and floral scroll pattern throughout; visually identical examples are typically attributed to Laura Ashley. The saucer bears an auction house label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, identifying this as Lot 633. The second item is a circular, tiered wooden tray with a warm reddish-brown finish. The centre of the tray features an inset circular ceramic tile decorated with a transfer-printed still life motif of fruit and nuts, including a pear, a plum, raspberries, and hazelnuts. No maker’s marks are visible on the base of either item.
