Lot 734: Traditional Upholstered Roll Arm Chair-and-a-Half in Floral Damask Fabric
A wide-proportioned armchair, often referred to as a chair-and-a-half, designed in a traditional English style. The piece features a high back with a loose, reversible back cushion and a loose seat cushion, both finished with piped edges. It is constructed with prominent rolled scroll arms. The entire chair is fully upholstered in a woven damask fabric, displaying a pattern of alternating stripes consisting of classical floral motifs and vertical bands. The colour palette includes dusky rose pink, cream, gold, and thin sage green stripes. The internal frame and legs are not visible due to the full upholstery. No manufacturer marks or labels are present. A white Liskeard Auction Rooms lot label for Lot 734 and a circular pink sticker numbered 32 are attached to the arms.
