Lot 754: A Contemporary Light Wood Oval Extending Pedestal Dining Table and a Set of Matching Slat Back Chairs
A contemporary oval extending dining table finished in a light wood veneer, possibly oak. The tabletop features a central seam to accommodate extension leaves and is detailed with a decorative inlaid border. The table is supported by a central pedestal base which branches into four out-swept, curved legs. The suite includes a matching set of chairs comprising two carver chairs with armrests and four side chairs. Each chair is designed with a vertical slat back and stands on square-section tapered legs. The padded seats are upholstered in a neutral-toned fabric with a small-scale textured pattern. The overall design is in the style of late 20th-century hardwood dining furniture.
