Lot 811: A Trio of Vintage Heathkit Electronic Test Instruments
A collection of three vintage electronic test instruments manufactured by Heathkit in Gloucester, England. The first instrument is an RF Signal Generator, marked Heathkit by Daystrom on the front panel. It is housed in a textured grey metal case and features a large semi-circular frequency dial with six scales ranging from 100 Kc to 100 Mc. The front panel includes controls for RF attenuation (Fine and Coarse), internal modulation, and range selection, alongside a red pilot light. The second instrument is a portable oscilloscope in a matching style deep metal enclosure. It features a circular green cathode ray tube display with a marked graticule grid and adjustments for brilliance, focus, X and Y shift, and gain. The third instrument is a Heathkit Model C-3U R-C Bridge. This unit includes a magic eye tuning indicator window and a large central measurement dial, with settings for leakage tests from 5V to 450V and various capacitance and resistance ranges. All units feature the textured metal casings and plastic or metal handles characteristic of mid-20th-century technical equipment. Two units are fitted with standard UK three-pin power plugs.
