Lot 881: Early 20th-century oak gateleg Sutherland table
An early 20th-century oak gateleg drop-leaf table of Sutherland type, designed for space-saving. The table is constructed from oak with a dark stained finish. The top features a narrow central fixed section flanked by two semi-circular drop leaves, which create an oval surface with a rounded edge when fully extended. The table is supported by two flat, shaped trestle-style end supports connected by a low central stretcher. Two gatelegs swing out from the frame to support the leaves. Two small white labels are visible on the top surface, though no text is legible. No further maker’s marks or stamps were observed.
