Lot 973: A Pair of 20th-Century Queen Anne Style Mahogany-Stained Occasional Tables
A pair of mahogany-stained occasional tables constructed in the Queen Anne style. The lot includes a console table of demi-lune form and a circular lamp table. The demi-lune table features a shaped top with a molded edge, resting on four cabriole legs that are joined by a conforming lower-tier shelf. The circular table has a molded edge to the top and is supported by four slender, out-swept cabriole legs braced by a small circular lower shelf. Both tables appear to be constructed from a stained hardwood with wood veneer surfaces to the tops. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible, though small white adhesive auction tags are present on the edges of both tabletops. These items are characteristic of 20th-century British reproduction furniture.
