Lot 6: A Mid-20th Century Industrial Steel Machinist Tool Chest with Contents
A mid-20th-century industrial machinist tool chest of steel construction with a textured grey hammer-tone finish. The chest features four drawers, arranged as two half-width drawers above two full-width drawers, with an open-fronted storage compartment at the base. All drawers are fitted with circular brass knobs. Included with the chest is an assortment of tools comprising a wooden joiner’s mallet, a metal hacksaw frame, and a pair of clear plastic safety glasses. The metal handle of the hacksaw bears the raised lettering ECLIPSE. No manufacturer’s marks are visible on the tool chest.
