Lot 527: Mid-to-late 20th Century Clear and Blue Italian Art Glass Snail Figurine
A hand-formed art glass figurine of a snail. The body is constructed from clear glass, featuring an elongated, upright neck and two slender tentacles. A globular shell with swirled turquoise-blue and clear glass is fused to the back. The piece is characteristic of lampworking techniques common in both Venetian and studio glass production during the mid-to-late 20th century. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition. The delicate glass tentacles are intact with no chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The surface remains clear with minimal evidence of wear.
