Lot 528: A Trio of Decorative Glass Perfume Bottles in the Neo-Art Nouveau Style with Hand-Painted Accents
A trio of decorative perfume bottles, designed in a Neo-Art Nouveau style. The group comprises two bottles of frosted pink glass and one of clear glass, each featuring ornate cast metal filigree collars and bases. The metal elements are decorated with floral motifs, butterflies, and insect-like wing designs, finished with polychrome enamel and inset synthetic stones in shades of pink, green, and gold. One bottle is topped with a faceted clear glass spherical stopper, while the others feature elaborate butterfly-themed stoppers. Visual inspection of a removed stopper reveals a modern synthetic bung, confirming these are recent decorative pieces. These items are similar in style to those produced by H&D Hyaline & Dora; however, no maker’s marks, signatures, or hallmarks are visible on the exterior surfaces or the glass.
Condition report:
The bottles appear to be in good overall condition. There are no apparent chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass components. The metal filigree, enamel decoration, and inset synthetic stones are intact with no visible losses or damage.
