Lot 559: Elma Cast Iron Flywheel Coffee Grinder on Wooden Plinth
A vintage cast metal coffee grinder manufactured by Elma. The apparatus features a red-painted cast metal body with the brand name ELMA embossed in relief on the side. It is fitted with a large black-painted cast iron flywheel featuring curved spokes and a turned wooden handle. The grinder is mounted onto a tiered square wooden plinth base which houses a small wooden drawer with a knob for collecting coffee grounds. A brass-toned metal collar is present at the hopper entrance. A handwritten identification note reading ELMA COFFEE GRINDER and an adhesive auction label are present on the unit.
