Lot 582: Two Pieces of Mid-Century Italian Art Glass attributed to Empoli
This lot comprises two pieces of mid-century Italian art glass, attributed to Empoli and dating to circa the 1960s. The first item is a large decorative vessel in the form of an oversized brandy balloon or snifter. It is crafted from translucent cobalt blue glass, featuring a clear glass stem with a central knop and a wide circular foot. The second item is a flared pedestal bowl or compote dish. This piece is made from cased glass with an opaque orange-peach exterior and a paler, creamy interior. It is supported by a short clear glass stem and a circular foot. Both items are accompanied by handwritten labels identifying them as Empoli glass from the 1960s. No permanent maker marks are visible on the glass.
