Lot 110: A 20th-century wooden utility chest stencilled MARCUS and dated 1971
A rectangular wooden utility chest of simple construction with a hinged lid and internal corner reinforcement blocks. The exterior lid is stencilled with the name MARCUS in black block lettering. On the underside of the lid, there is a handwritten inscription in pencil or pen reading To Gareth Edwards, followed by an illegible line and the date 1971. The sides of the chest show fragments of old paper labels and a white auction sticker numbered 110. The interior is unfinished wood.
