Lot 166: Vintage Petrol-Powered Cylinder Lawnmower, in the style of Atco or Suffolk
This vintage petrol-powered cylinder lawnmower features a cast chassis and engine housing finished in green paint. The single-cylinder air-cooled engine is finished in gold paint and includes a side-mounted air filter and carburettor assembly. The cutting mechanism comprises a red-painted multi-blade helical cylinder. The machine is fitted with a segmented wooden front roller and a larger rear drive roller. The black tubular steel handlebars support control cables and hand levers. A separate green-painted metal grass collection box is included with the lot. The overall design and colour scheme are consistent with mid-20th-century British garden machinery, notably models produced by manufacturers such as Atco or Suffolk. A lot identification label ‘166’ is present on the engine cover.
