Lot 257: A Collection of Promotional Meerkat Characters and Robot Figures
This lot features a collection of promotional toys associated with well-known advertising campaigns. Included are three plush characters produced for comparethemeerkat.com, comprising Sergei in a maroon velvet-style dressing gown with gold-coloured embroidery, Sergei in a Star Wars BB-8 themed outfit, and Aleksandr Orlov in a white shirt and striped tie. These plush items are constructed from synthetic fabric with plastic eyes and accessories, presented in original cardboard display boxes within clear plastic bags. The collection also contains two plastic figures produced for Confused.com, identified as Stunt Herbert and Miss Herbert. Both figures incorporate a pull-and-go mechanism, with the Stunt Herbert model also featuring a bobbly head and the Miss Herbert figure featuring brown hair and blue eyes. These are housed in original blue and white retail window boxes. Markings include printed company logos and website addresses on the packaging. One box retains a white auction label from MCP Auctions South West for lot 257.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in excellent, unused condition within their original packaging. The boxes exhibit only minor signs of shelf wear and some creasing to the outer plastic bags of the plush toys.
