Lot 328: Vintage British Folding Seat Stick with Leather Sling
A vintage spectator seat stick of a type traditionally used for outdoor sporting pursuits such as shooting or horse racing. The item features a folding cast aluminium alloy frame that opens to form a V-shaped seat support. The seating surface is constructed from a thick, stitched brown leather sling. The metal shaft is finished with a brown coating. The base is designed for stability on varied terrain, featuring a spiked tip and a circular metal ground plate to prevent the stick from sinking into soft ground. A black rubber ferrule is currently fitted over the spike for use on hard surfaces. Small stamped marks are present on the metal hinge mechanism of the seat, though they are not clearly legible.
