Lot 355: An Assortment of Vintage Textiles including a Quilted Bedspread and Decorative Tin
An assortment of vintage textiles and a storage container. The collection features a large, cream-coloured quilted bedspread or eiderdown, crafted from a floral damask-patterned fabric. It includes diagonal quilting and is finished with a wide, matching satin-effect border. The lot also contains several multi-coloured embroidered doilies or mats, shaped as flowers with scalloped edges in vibrant orange, yellow, red, and pink tones. A piece of white crocheted lace with an intricate openwork design is present. Accompanying the textiles is a rectangular metal storage tin, the lid of which is decorated with a nine-block grid of various patchwork quilt patterns, including stars and pinwheels. The items are housed in a cardboard box marked with a lot number and a handwritten label reading Fabric Bundle.
