Lot 451: Mid-20th Century Cobalt Blue and Opalescent Art Glass Vase in the Style of Murano
In the style of Murano art glass, this mid-century decorative vase is hand-blown from cased glass. The vessel features a deep cobalt blue exterior layered over a white opalescent interior, which is visible at the widely flared and deeply ruffled rim. The body is adorned with an applied clear glass floral motif, comprising a single flower with internal red and yellow colour accents and two accompanying clear glass leaves. The vase is supported by a flared, circular clear glass pedestal foot. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the piece.
