Lot 459: A Group of Four Assorted Vintage Glass Light Shades
A group of four glass light shades of varying forms and finishes, likely dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. The collection includes a frosted glass flame-form shade, often referred to as a stalactite or torch shade, featuring deeply moulded undulating textures. Also included is a spherical frosted glass shade with a plain circular aperture. The group is completed by a pair of clear glass shades with a textured quilted or honeycomb pattern, finished with wide flared and ruffled rims. These items are manufactured from moulded glass, with two exhibiting an acid-etched frosted surface and two in clear textured glass. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the bodies or rims of the items. A contemporary auction house tracking label is present on the spherical shade.
