Lot 460: Antique Cast Iron Three Spoke Well Pulley with Swivel Hook
An antique industrial single-sheave pulley block, of the type frequently utilised in agricultural or maritime environments as a well pulley or gin block. The item features a heavy-duty cast iron sheave designed with three distinctive curved spokes. This wheel is mounted within a simple forged iron strap frame and is secured by a central axle pin. A stout swivel hook is attached to the top of the frame for suspension. A white adhesive auction label is attached to the sheave, which reads: HCP Auctions South West, Lot 460, www.hcpauctions.net. No manufacturer stamps, names, or patent marks are visible on the metal surfaces.
