A collection of natural history specimens and accompanying educational literature from the National Geographic Real-Life Bugs and Insects series, published by RBA. The collection comprises several real insect and arthropod specimens, each preserved and encased within a clear rectangular resin block. These blocks are housed within a black plastic collector’s display case featuring individual moulded compartments. Each resin block includes a printed label identifying the specimen and its geographic origin. Identifiable specimens include a Man Faced Stink Bug (Catacanthus incarnatus) from Malaysia, a Giant Stag Beetle from China, an African Flower Beetle from Tanzania, a Japanese Shield Bug from Japan, a Black Chinese Earwig from China, a Hawker Dragonfly from Thailand, a Black Blister Beetle from Argentina, a Green African Jewel Beetle from Kenya, and a Tiger Beetle from Pakistan. Additional specimens include a Formosan Longhorn Beetle, a Russian Longhorn Beetle, a Skimmer Larva, and a Dung Beetle. The lot includes several issues of the accompanying National Geographic magazine series, with visible issue numbers including 70 and 78, covering subjects such as mosquitoes, flies, millipedes, and crustaceans.
