Lot 674: A 19th or Early 20th-Century Rustic Elm Country Stool
A primitive country-style stool of simple, utilitarian construction. The piece is fashioned from a hardwood, likely elm, displaying a characterful coarse grain. The rectangular seat features rounded corners and is joined to four splayed legs using through-tenon construction, where the leg tops are visible on the seat surface. The legs are reinforced with a central H-frame stretcher. A white adhesive auction label for HCP Auctions South West, Lot 674, is affixed to the seat, alongside a second label with the handwritten number 13.
