Lot 790: Low Carved Oak Open Bookcase in the Tudor Revival Style
A small, low-standing open bookcase constructed from oak with a dark stained finish. The piece features a decorative frieze along the upper front edge, intricately carved with a repeating blind arcade or Gothic arch pattern. The interior contains three fixed horizontal shelves. The construction and aesthetic are characteristic of mid-20th century British reproduction furniture in the Tudor or Jacobean Revival style, resembling designs by manufacturers such as Wood Bros (Old Charm) or Jaycee Furniture. A small white adhesive label is present on the top surface with handwritten numbers 290 and 790. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible. The item is shown in the photographs resting on its back.
