Lot 538: An Assortment of Vintage Cameras, Lenses, and Photographic Accessories
An assortment of metalware and household accessories comprising items of varied age and materials. The lot includes a silver-plated cylindrical commemorative lidded jar embossed with the word MILLENNIUM around the base, featuring a pull-off lid with a ball finial. There is a small silver-plated twin-handled vessel containing several pieces of flatware, including spoons and a pair of sugar tongs. This item is accompanied by a handwritten provenance tag stating: These sugar tongs were given to Anne Priscilla Peach and Ernest Radbourne by the jeweller where they purchased their wedding ring. 26.12.1901. Further silver-plated ware includes a polished crescent-shaped dish. Brass and copper items consist of a traditional columnar chamberstick with a side finger loop and broad drip pan, and a pair of small, low-profile copper-finished candlesticks, each with a small circular tag attached. Serving accessories include a metal crumb scoop with a yellowed synthetic handle and a cheese knife with a white handle and a curved, bifurcated blade. The collection also features a small circular enameled dish decorated with red foliate scrolls on a white ground, enclosed by a blue border with gilt-style accents.
