Lot 586: A Set of Six Dartington Crystal Cut Glass Champagne Flutes
A mid-century decorative art glass sculpture depicting a pair of stylized swans. The piece is crafted from hand-blown glass in a deep burnt caramel hue that transitions to a near-black opacity at the base. The two swans feature elongated, gracefully arched necks and are joined at a single, comma-shaped base. The underside of the base shows a textured finish characteristic of the hand-blown manufacturing process. While the minimalist, fluid form is reminiscent of mid-20th-century European art glass, such as Murano, no maker marks, signatures, or factory labels are visible on the object.
