Lot 591: A Pair of Framed Horological Mixed-Media Assemblages signed P. Ammon
A collection of assorted marine gastropod specimen shells featuring various species. The assortment includes several large Ramose Murex (Chicoreus ramosus) shells, distinguished by their heavy, off-white calcium carbonate structures and elaborate frond-like spines. Also included are multiple Spider Conchs (Lambis species) with characteristic finger-like digital projections and mottled brown and cream exterior patterns. The group is further comprised of Tiger Cowries (Cypraea tigris), showing smooth, highly polished egg-shaped forms with dark brown spotting on a cream-coloured ground. One cowry specimen is marked with an adhesive label bearing the number 13. The lot includes an additional small specimen with orange-brown spiral banding. A label with the handwritten number 67 is present on the display shelf. The items are accompanied by an auction house sticker from HCP Auctions South West, Lot 592.
