Lot 603: A Trio of Beswick Ceramic Horse Figurines
An assortment of marine mollusc shells and fragments, primarily consisting of gastropod and bivalve specimens. The collection contains several identifiable species including a large Tiger Cowrie (Cypraea tigris) featuring characteristic dark brown spots on a cream-coloured ground. Also present is a prominent orange-toned Cone shell (Conus species), a green-tinted Turban shell (Turbo species), a spiralling Auger shell (Terebridae family), and a conical Top shell with reddish-brown mottled patterns. The lot further includes various smaller specimens such as Olive shells, Murex types, and single bivalve valves. A fragment of a Spider Conch (Lambis species) is also included. The shells are housed loose within a plain white cardboard box marked with dimensions on the exterior.
