Lot 678: A contemporary silvered glass teardrop table lamp with black fabric drum shade
This lot consists of two decorative vessels. The first is a large, bulbous ceramic lidded jar of baluster form, featuring two small integral lug handles at the shoulder and a matching domed lid with a knob finial. The jar is constructed from glazed earthenware and decorated with an expressive, hand-painted polychrome floral design. The motif features large blue anemone-style flowers with crimson centres, set against a vibrant background of yellow, green, and maroon washes. The base of the jar is smooth, slightly indented, and bears no maker marks. The second item is a clear glass ewer or carafe with a bulbous body showing faint optic ribbing. It has a long neck terminating in a flared rim with a pouring lip. The vessel features a circular metallic base component, likely silver-plated, which is visible through the glass at the bottom.
